All deliveries are made via national courier and will need to be signed for. Deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) and are not time specific. If when delivering, the couriers obtain no response, they will leave a card for you to contact them to agree re-delivery or you may collect from their local depot address. Goods cannot be left unattended and unsigned for. Deliveries can be made to neighbours or your workplace and this address should be given when your order is placed. Alternatively, we can request that the couriers deliver to a neighbouring door number upon no answer. This request would need to be made by email immediately after placing your order as once dispatched, we cannot amend delivery details. However, this arrangement is not guaranteed and under the discretion of the delivery driver. The courier may leave a contact card as stated above.
Delivery charges (to mainland UK) for your order can be determined by adding the items to your shopping cart. Decorative grilles and self assembly radiator covers can be delivered to your home or workplace anywhere within the UK Mainland for a fixed fee of £8.50, regardless of the quantity that you have requested. Mainland UK does not include any part of Ireland or other offshore UK location These areas will require courier delivery quotations which are usually in the region of £45 for a typical order. (For information on how we deliver please Click Here or see above) We will do our very best to deliver your goods promptly. Many of our products are however made to order, it is therefore difficult to provide an exact delivery date in advance. All timescales stated are typical, commence from when payment has cleared and are dependent on stock being available. If stock is no longer available at receipt of order, we will inform you and ask how you would like to proceed (place on back order, cancel, substitute etc). Orders placed during evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays will not be received until the following working day (Mon - Fri, 9.30am - 5.30pm). These days are therefore not included in timescales.

| Do you have a brochure you can send? |
We do not offer a separate brochure for distribution. Please see below for information on price lists.

Of course, if you wish to you may print a particular page from your web browser.

Do you have a price list you can send? |
All pricing is available via our website and displayed either directly on the product page or by following a link to a pricing calculator from the product page. Our calculators provide you with an instant quotation with the choice to purchase online if you wish. If you are having trouble finding pricing for any product, please see the table below which provides links to the products and where pricing can be found.
We do not offer a paper price list for distribution.
Producing a written price list reduces the flexibility we have when trying to provide you with the best prices. We will also try to offer a discount to returning customers and larger quantity orders. It also enables us to price match any quotation that you may have already received. In addition the price of raw materials fluctuates and we need keep our prices in line with these changes for the benefit of the customer and ourselves. All prices quoted and shown are inclusive of any additions apart from delivery.

| Why do you have a "Single Item Surcharge" choice next to some of the products in your shop? |
Many companies have a minimum order of grilles as it is not cost effective to sell just one item. We are regularly asked if we will sell just one grille and we do not want to disappoint our customers. The only way we can afford to accommodate this requirement is to introduce a small surcharge to some products, for a single item sale. This is typically around £7. Example: If you will only be buying one item in your entire visit to our shop, then leave the Single Item Surcharge box set to: Surcharge (Only this item at checkout +£6.00). A £6 surcharge will be added to your order at the checkout.
If you will be buying more than one item in your entire shopping trip, simply set every product that you buy to: Removed (I will have more items at checkout). If you leave the surcharge on by mistake, it will not be added to the amount we take in payment. This will not show in your confirmation email but your postal invoice will be correct.
(We are continually improving our website and this will soon be an automatic feature adjusted at the checkout) Back to Questions |
I only need a single grille. Can you supply this? |
Yes. It is obviously not as cost effective for the customer, as the comparative packing, machine set up and delivery costs for one is grille much higher. We will provide you with the best price we can. For single grille purchases in our online shop, please see the question above.
Back to Questions |
Can you cut the grille I require? |
Grille sold as made to measure are made to the exact size you request and no cutting is therefore required. A number of our grilles can be cut to size, others are sold only in their displayed sheet sizes. Please see the table below for full details: | Made to Measure | We can cut to size for you * | Sold by the sheet only | | Regency Diamond | Perforated Brass | Perforated MDF and Hardboard | | Georgian Square | Most Powder Coated Perforated Grilles (not expanded steel) | Anodised Perforated Aluminium and Expanded Steel | | Interwoven Diamond and Square | Brass and Stainless Steel Woven Wire Mesh | Perforated Stainless Steel | For information on how to obtain pricing, please Click Here |
Always remember to allow a enough additional grille for fixing (typically a 20mm border).
*Cutting grilles to size adds extra expense to your grille and remnants of the sheet are not included with your order. If you would like to cut the grilles yourself, please read the question below.
Back to Questions
|
| Can I cut the grilles myself? |
Only grilles sold as per sheet, would require cutting to size and are typically 0.7mm thickness. This can easily be performed with tin snips or metal cutting saw blades. The only difference is that your cut may not be as clean. In most cases this is hidden. For your assistance, we have sourced tin snips that can be purchased cheaply online: Click here for tin snips
Choose the best sheet size for the size and quantity of grilles you require. Regency, Georgian and Interwoven ranges are not easy to cut and should therefore be specified to the exact size you require. Wire mesh alone e.g. MEB/FM can be cut with sturdy scissors.
Back to Questions |
I only require a very small piece of grille. What can you offer? |
| Please note that regardless of size of grille, our facilities are set up for courier dispatches only. Therefore the minimum addition of £8.50 to any grille is applicable (to mainland UK). Please look in our remnants section first as any available off cuts of grille can be found here at less expense than a full sheet. Some of our grilles are available cut to size and will save on the cost of a full sheet. Please see the table above for more information.
Grilles described as Made to Measure are made to your requested size. You will only be charged for the amount of grille required. Less is therefore cheaper.

|
Do you have a small off cut of the grille I require? |
If available, any off cuts will be placed in the Grille Remnants section of our online shop.
Back to Questions
|
| Why are Rye grilles only supplied as a 1/3rd sheet? |
The Rye design is perforated and pressed using a different process than standard non raised perforated patterns. This produces a lovely effect but causes the grille to form a cylinder when not fixed in place. Rye must be fixed at regular intervals when fitted to hold the it flat. This is not a problem as all grilles are normally fitted this way but you may need an extra fixing interval or two. Storing and packaging of anything larger than a 1/3rd sheet is however, cumbersome.
Back to Questions . |
| Is there pattern all the way to the edge? |
Yes if they are made to measure or cut to size. All other perforated sheets have an un patterned edge border where the pattern cannot be punched. This is typically around 15mm. The Rye design has a patterned area of 904mm by 567mm.
Back to Questions
|
| Will brass grille tarnish? |
All brass is susceptible to tarnishing. Regency, Georgian, Interwoven and Wire Mesh ranges are sprayed with a fine clear lacquer coating after polishing, to maintain the shine and resist tarnishing.
Where possible perforated brass sheets include the choice of fine clear lacquer protection as a selectable option when buying online.
If the lacquer selection is not present, brass perforated sheets are supplied to the customer with a protective sheet of removable plastic film. Once removed, clear lacquering is recommended for long term resistance to tarnishing.

Can you provide an antique finish to your perforated brass sheets? (Antiquing information for made to measure grilles is provided on their respective pages) |
Yes. However, antiquing is a process that adds expense and an additional 1 week delay to your order. If you would like to antique our perforated brass yourself, there are antiquing fluids available such Tourmaline, that can be applied. You will need to order your grille "un lacquered" and once treated, clear lacquer protect. (This information is provided as an overview to assist our customers. Full instructions are available from the suppliers of these products and must be adhered to)Antiquing information for made to measure grilles is provided on their respective pages.

How much is a sheet of Regency Brass grille? Regency diamond brass grilles are not pre made items sold in standard sheet sizes. They are hand made to order to the dimensions you require. Although we believe that we provide the best prices for this quality traditional item, buying more than you need would be an expensive waste in addition to being difficult to cut down further in size by the customer. They are constructed from 3mm square solid brass rod held together with your choice of rosettes / rivet pins and the (usually chosen) option of a wire mesh backing for additional obscurity when screening. Further options are available at extra expense such as antiquing or chrome plating of the natural brass. Before we can offer any pricing or delivery timescales to you we will need to know the styling options that you require along with the width, height and quantities required. Due to the large amount of styling options, we have provided an instant pricing calculator that will allow you to experiment with choices until you find a grille that suits your requirements and budget.
